My wife and I love this perfect little get-away from the rest of the world! Feed-your-own wood stove to stay warm and enjoy a peaceful, quiet evening with no distractions other than those you allow. LOTS of snowshoe trails right out the front door of whichever cabin you choose to stay in. We absolutely love this place. Very rustic, very simple. Exactly what we enjoy!

This place is great, particularly after a big snowfall. Quiet solitude, miles of wilderness trails nearby, and Ron is always helpful.

Stayed there a few years ago for new years night with a few buddies. Ron is a great fella. Loved the place, great getaway from the city life. 4 hour drive is a killer though... Would love to come back. One downside, he charges per person, not per cabin. Sauna is a great plus. Its more of a traditional Banya (russian sauna) with real wooden stone, rocks and a bucket of water to take a shower. 10/10

Would recommend to everyone!

We have been to Snowshoe Lodge twice now and have loved it both times. It's the perfect getaway from the noisy city life. No cars, no planes, no neighbors. Just the sounds of nature. The cabins are rustic with only electricity. Heat is a wood stove, water comes from a pump about 200 meters away and there's no indoor plumbing, only an outhouse. This may not appeal to many, but for us, it's a chance to get away and appreciate the conveniences we have in our everyday lives. Ron is a gracious host and Chester (the dog) and the cat are both friendly. We will definitely be returning in the Fall. Highly recommend.

Rustic but solid
